How to Feed the Fishes the Right Way

How to Feed the Fishes the RIGHT Way

Boat trips can be so much fun and at the same time relaxing, but only if you prepare for them properly.  Today we had plans to go shark tagging near NOVA South Eastern University and drove about one mile off shore.  The ride out was great; it actually felt relaxing and tempted me to fall asleep from the up and down motion and wind blowing onto my face.  Though, once the boat stopped, the excitement and thrill that I had completely left me and slowly came a nauseous feeling in my stomach.
The circular motion from rocking of the boat began to worsen and so did my stomach.  As all the students were listening to the instructor on how to deploy the bait and buoys, I began to chuck up my lunch and dinner from the day before and the breakfast that I ate from this morning.
It was upsetting because I wanted the experience of actually knowing what it felt like to get my hands dirty and learn how to deploy the bait myself to attract the sharks.  In the picture on the right, that’s me in the yellow poncho sleeping the nausea off, which is what I ended up doing the whole time.  After traveling all of this way, I decided to not let this sickness stop me from getting my picture with a shark!  So, I decided
to wake up from my beauty rest and take my
selfie with the only caught Sandbar Shark and threw up again.  One more time for the fishes!  After a few more hours, everyone collected back the equipment, placed them back on the ship, and we were headed back to shore.  I couldn’t have been happier!
Later on, we were back on the road to grab a bite for dinner at Jaxon’s Ice Cream Parlour, Restaurant & Country Store.  I ordered what I thought was going to be a small meal which was a grilled cheese and French fries to save room for their famous ice cream for dessert.  After receiving “the itis,” which is a lazy feeling you get from eating a very satisfying meal, I got up to walk to the restroom.  Outside of the restroom doors was a very detailed wallpaper covering the walls, and looking at it, I immediately noticed a section talking about seasickness!  Everywhere I looked, there it was, like it would not allow me to forget a horrifying memory!
Just remember to take your medication such as Dramamine or receive a prescription for a motion sickness patch from your doctor before you take any trips as such.  And also, if you have nearly as bad of a sensitivity to motion sickness as I do, then maybe you should think about the Dramamine pill along with the motion sickness patch.

  1. It's okay, Toni that old article on the wall just goes to show seasickness is something that has been affecting people for a very long time. I wonder what they did in the olden days before there was medication for it. Those fish must have eaten very well!
