Go to Six Flags
What better way to spend your last day before going to Florida than spending it at everyone’s favorite New Jersey theme park? Whether it is cooling down in the water park, or riding on the roller coasters, plenty of fun can be had while you are up there, distracted from what you should be doing.
Spend Time With Your Pets
Look at those faces, if they want to play or take a nap on you how could you ever say no to them? Spend time with your pets, they will miss you when you’re gone, whether they act like they will or not.
Pick Up Extra Shifts at Work and Stay Late
Money is always needed, especially when taking time off work for a trip, so why not pick up some shifts to make up the loss? Or better yet, stay even later than you are supposed to to make even more money. That way you have extra saved up for bills or souvenirs.
Pester Your Significant Other
If you have a partner, why not spend some time with them before you leave? Just show up at their house and do not leave, or, if you live together, just hang out in the room they are in and talk to them until you feel ready to pack. Make yourself as present as possible so they really feel the lack of your presence when you leave.
The more annoying you can be the better, and if that does not work and they still say they are not going to miss you, you can always just lock them up until you get back.
(This is a joke, do not actually do this, no matter how much beer is in the cage you lock them in)
Go Out and Have Drinks (You won’t be able to for a while)
Anyone who has been to Florida in July knows that it is HOT and drinks are a bad idea. This is a school trip, so drinking is a bad idea all around, so get it out of your system beforehand. If you are looking to get a strong drink before heading down to Florida for the week the Irish Trash Can is a great choice, just always make sure you drink responsibly. Hey, maybe once you drink enough it will finally motivate you to pack.
Play Video Games
If you get bored while not packing your things, why not pick up a video game to pass the time? Surely it is better than whatever packing you should be doing. Stardew Valley is a great way to pass hours without even noticing it happening, and it is available on almost every platform, including mobile, so anyone can enjoy it anywhere.
Just make packing a problem for tomorrow you… every day. It will get done eventually, just not right this second.
