Sweet Tropic Serenity

While sitting back and relaxing all cool, watching some b-ball with my dog on the couch, I can help but to think about the sea and the amazing things that were seen. The ocean brought 10 students, 1 TA, and 1 really cool teacher all together in the Keys. Everyone was eager to learn and ready to participate in order to better their experience and education. Being a part of adventures like shark tagging, kayaking, and nature reserve research has deepened my love for biology and allowed me to connect with people that have the same interests.
We came, we saw, and we appreciate without leaving behind a negative impact on the environment.

Actually we clean up pretty well.
Yeah we might have had a speed bump or two, but we learned from mistakes and pushed forward. Even after the most tiring days on identifying fish and spotting crocks, we all agreed that everything was worth it.
Today we got to appreciate the local life at a familiar fruit stand and looked back at, laughed, and cringed at memories made while staring at an emu.

Appreciation of nature at its finest and appreciation to the people spending their lives to right humanities wrongs. From Mote saving corals to University saving sharks, faith in humanity is being restored.
Thank you to everyone for making this a trip to remember and being one hell of a group. Also, a huge shout out to Dr. Z, Kristen and all the participants that made this trip possible.
